STEPS TO IMPORTING A VEHICLE FROM JAPAN
Once you’ve sourced your vehicle, contact your agent, and nominate Moana Blue as your service provider.
Your agent will then place an order and will receive a login for ATL, and you will receive a welcome package.
Your vehicle will arrive at our Moana Blue facility where our trusted partner ATL will start the pre-departure functions:
- Gate in process.
- Odometer inspection & certification.
- MPI Biosecurity inspection and cleaning for direct clearance in New Zealand.
- Waka Kotahi NZTA structural border inspection.
- Full suite of digital images and comprehensive vehicle appraisal.
The vehicle will then be loaded onto the vessel, and an arrival notice, port discharge, E.T.A., invoice, and import GST, will be sent to you.
Your vehicle will then go through MPI, New Zealand customs, and bio screening to ensure that it follows all New Zealand regulations.
